Punjab desk: Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan has called for assembly session on October 20. The session has been called to discuss important issues of the state including the issue of SYL.
The notice issued said “Under second proviso to Rule 16 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha (Punjab Legislative Assembly), the Hon’ble Speaker has been pleased to call the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, which was adjourned sine-die on 20th June, 2023, to meet at 11.00 A.M on Friday, the 20th October, 2023 in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha Hall, Vidhan Bhavan, Chandigarh.”
After the order of Supreme Court, the issue has become important in the state. Current AAP Government has already cleared its stand that Punjab has no extra water to share it with Haryana.
