Isarel-Palestine conflict: Journalist killed while 6 injured in shelling in Lebanon

 International desk: A video journalist was killed while other 6 were injured while filming live on the border with Israel in South Lebanon. The deceased journalist was of Reuters. The group of journalists of various organizations    were working near Alma al-Shaab, close to the Israel border, where the Israeli military and Lebanese military have been engaged in border clashes.

“We are deeply saddened to learn that our videographer, Issam Abdallah, has been killed,” the news agency said in a statement, adding it was working with authorities in the region to obtain more information. Six other journalists working for Reuters, AFP and Al Jazeera were wounded, AFP reported.

The United Nations extended its deepest condolences to Reuters following the death of its crew member. UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric called for an investigation into what exactly had happened.
