New Delhi: 69th National Film Awards were held in the National Capital yesterday which was graced by all the awardees from film fraternity. Allu Arjun won Best actor award whereas Award for best Actress was conferred to Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon for Gangubai Kathiawadi and Mimi respectively.
Actress Alia Bhatt was in limelight for one more reason as she chose her wedding saree as Outfit for the event.
Alia, accompanied by her husband Ranbir Kapoor graced the event and re-wore her wedding saree. She looked absolutely stunning in her ivory embroidered saree which was designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. She completed her look with a pearl choker and a messy bun with white roses in it. Though she repeated her wedding saree but her look was totally different that from her wedding.
Taking to Instagram stories, Alia revealed why she wore her wedding saree.
Alia posted a picture of her along with caption “A special day calls for a special outfit. And sometimes…that outfit is already right there. What’s special once can be special again and again…#rewear #reuse #repeat.” Alia has always advocated repeating and reusing clothes as it is also good for the environment. Netizens too have lauded her decision to repeat outfit for such a big event.
