'Rather than being at loggerheads, Join hands to resolve issues amicably'- Malvinder Kang Appeals farmers

CHANDIGARH: The Chief spokesperson of AAP's Punjab unit, Malvinder Singh Kang on Wednesday (May 18) appealed the protesting farmers to join hands for resolving issues amicably. 

Kang tweeted, " CM Bhagwant Mann is a son of the soil. His intent & concern for farming is unquestionable. Sincere efforts are being made to save the fast depleting water & to provide MSP on moong, maize & basmati. Rather than being at loggerheads, all need to join hands to resolve issues amicably."
Notably, Punjab farmers are protesting against CM Mann over paddy sowing schedule announced by the state govt. The farmers union have staged protest at Mohali border. The Samyukt Kisan Morcha said that they will march towards Chandigarh if CM Mann didn't accepts their legitimate demands. They added that it is the responsibility of government to provide adequate electricity for sowing paddy. CM Mann has called for a meeting with the farmer leaders today to solve the issues. 

Farmers Demands....

Farmers are opposing the state government's decision which states that uninterrupted eight hour power supply to the agriculture Pumpset consumers will be given in zones on the dates announced by them. The state has been divided into five zones by the government. The farmers are also demanding that the state government should decrease the fees charged for increasing the power load.
