Rahul Gandhi, ‘kheti ka khoon’, farm laws

Rahul Gandhi releases booklet named ‘kheti ka khoon’, says 'farm laws designed to destroy Indian Agriculture'

Amid the ongoing stalemate over the three new farm laws, congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday released a booklet highlighting the 'plight' of farmers in the country. The booklet was released at a press event at the congress headquarters here.
The congress mp told the press that the central government's new farm laws have been designed to 'destroy' Indian agriculture.
Gandhi alleged that the centre was misinforming the country over the new farm laws and stated that a tragedy was unfolding today, in reference to the farmers’ ongoing agitation.
The congress leader said his fight was not just for the farmers but also for the youth, who are the country’s future.
“There is a tragedy unfolding today in the country. The government wants to ignore the issue and misinform the country. I'm not going to speak about farmers alone as it is only a part of the tragedy. It's important for youngsters. This is not about the present but about your future,” Gandhi said.
“I support protesting farmers; every single person should support them as they are fighting for us,” he added.
