Punjab Desk: Municipal corporation elections have been announced in Punjab. The Punjab government has decided to conduct elections in 5 municipal corporations namely Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Patiala and Phagwara by November 15.
The Local Government Department has issued a notification in this regard. With this, preparations for the elections of 5 corporations have started. The Local Government Department has sent a formal letter to the State Election Commission regarding holding the elections.
As per the order issued, the elections in 5 municipal corporations will be conducted within first fortnight of November.
