Four-storey Building Collapsed in Kurla of Mumbai; One dead, 8 rescued & More feared stucked

KURLA: One person died and eight people have been rescued from debris by the NDRF after a 4-storey building collapsed in Mumbai's Kurla on Monday night (June 27). The incident took place in the Naik Nagar area. A fire brigade team and police reached the spot as soon as they received information about the incident. Rescue operation is underway in the area as more people feared to be trapped under debris, said NDRF (National Disaster Response Force). As per BMC officials, the rescued people are in stable condition.

According to the media reports, NDRF Dy Commandant, Ashish Kumar said, "One more rescued alive. Rescue operation on. No confirmation on how many people are still trapped." 

Maharashtra Minister Aaditya Thackeray on Monday night visited Mumbai's Kurla where the building collapsed and said that such property should be vacated on the notice of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
