CHANDIGARH: The Home Secretary, Nitin Kumar Yadav released 11 newly born Budgerigars in the main enclosure at Chandigarh Bird Park. He expressed his pleasure on releasing the new born chicks in the enclosure. He stated that the exotic birds are continuously breeding at Chandigarh Bird Park which reflects a healthy environment created for the birds.
The Chief Conservator of Forests Chandigarh, Debendra Dalai informed that Budgerigars are of Australian origin and survive well in Indian condition. Good effort is being made for successful breeding of birds in Chandigarh Bird Park. Earlier on August 12, Adviser to the Administrator Shri Dharam Pal had released 4 no new born wood duck.
