  Cabinet under the leadership of the CM Mann approves filling of 106 clerical posts  

Chandigarh: Punjab Cabinet under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has approved the filling of 106 posts of clerical cadre in the General State Administration Department, Punjab, Civil Secretariat, Chandigarh. The decision in this regard was taken in a Cabinet meeting held under the leadership of the Chief Minister at his office in the Punjab Civil Secretariat-1 here.

Giving this information, the spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office said that the Group of Ministers approved the proposal to fill up 106 posts (including 69 revived posts) of clerical cadre in the General State Administration Department, Punjab Civil Secretariat, Chandigarh. After the completion of the recruitment process for these posts, the work of Punjab Civil Secretariat, Chandigarh will be able to run smoothly and the people coming here will be facilitated. Similarly, the youth will also get employment opportunities and they will become active partners in the socio-economic development of the state.

The Cabinet has also appointed S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali), Kapurthala, Hoshiarpur, Malerkotla and Sangrur have also approved setting up of adequate infrastructure for early construction of medical colleges. To benefit the people of Punjab, these medical colleges and hospitals are being constructed to establish the state as a bastion of medical education across the country.

The Cabinet also approved the framing of Legal and Legislative Affairs (Group B) Service Rules, 2023. This will facilitate the new recruitment process in the department and will help in the smooth running of the day-to-day functioning of Legal and Legislative Affairs, Punjab.
