Jalandhar News: The election for President of NRI Sabha Punjab will be held on January 5, 2024.
Divulging further information, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development)-cum-Executive Director NRI Sabha Varinder Pal Singh Bajwa said that on the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the government has decided to hold the election of the President of NRI Sabha Punjab on January 05, 2024 and polling would be held from 9 AM to 5 PM.
He said that counting of the votes will commence from 5 PM onwards and result will be declared on the same day.
He said that NRIs enrolled up to October 27, 2023 as members will be allowed to participate in this election. Nominees cannot vote on the behalf of NRI members.
Bajwa said that NRI members of Sabha must bring their passport and ID cards issued by NRI Sabha Punjab or NRI Sabha District unit.
